Palamoor Prathiba Puraskar

Vandemataram Foundation organized Palamoor Pratibha Puraskar ceremony in token of appreciation and recognition meritorious students passed 10th class by securing Ist and 2nd position from 64 Mandals of Mahaboonagar on July3, 2010. The ceremony was held at Zilla Parishad Office, Mahaboobnagar

Sri. M.Purushotam Reddy IAS, Collector Mahaboonagar was the Chief Guest. 

Guests of Honour. Were Sri. G.A.Hemanath DEO, Sri B. Narsi Reddy VMF Mahaboonagar District  President,Smt Usha Rani Dy. DEO, Sri Sudhakar Reddy MLC, Special guest of Honour for the ceremony was Vangipuram Sreenathachary Guniss World Record Holder. Other dignitaries were Sri. G. Venkata Reddy  President  of  PRTU, Sri G. Parvatha Reddy President STU, Sri G. Kishhtaiah President UTF, Sri B. Venkat Reddy President APUS, Sri. G.Govardhan President DTF.

Sri. K. Damodar Reddy garu Zilla Parishad Chairman presided the ceremony.  After the traditional lamp lighting ritual, District Ist , 2nd and 3rd rank holder were awarded. Mandal wise students’ securing 1st and 2nd positions were also awarded. Total 138 students received Prathiba Puraskar Award.  Teachers and Headmasters from 64 mandals were also honoured.

Sri. M.Purushotam Reddy IAS, Collector Mahaboonagar in his chief guest address congratulated all the awardees and teachers. He also congratulated VMF for working towards enrichment of education iin government schools. He said that Mahaboobnagar is in 22nd position in the state and lots needs to be done to strengthen the education system and make it viable to all. Support of school, staff and department need to be strengthened.
Parents need to be given awareness on importance of education, as the region is backward in various strata and education is one of them. He also emphasized on ‘hard work’ and requested all the students to put in maximum efforts to succeed. 
VMF should reach other Mandals and remote areas of Mahaboonagar district as this would benefit many students. He further assured of all the assistance and support to the Foundation’s work.
